For my Eagle Scout Project I led the building of five picnic tables from scratch. These tables would be placed in one or our local parks.
Here you can see the tables placed in the park. You can also see the plaque that I designed and got laser engraved.Â
Here I was leading some of the younger scouts in building the tops of the tables. It was important to keep the tops square.
Here I am drilling the holes for the seat braces to be bolted to the legs.
Here you can see the tables before they where stained. I decided to build the tables out of redwood due to its beauty and resistance to decay.
Here was the group of helpers on our first build day. We got a lot done and the younger scouts where a huge help.
Here is the group of helpers after our second build day. We got all the tables assembled and ready to get the finishing touches.
