I am enrolled in Automotive Paint Restoration class for the spring semester of 2026.
In paint class we are doing test panels this is my panel after the second coat of base. The tape lines represent the different stages like epoxy primer, primer surfacer, sanding, primer sealer, and base coat.
Here is my test panel after the first two coats of primer surfacer and after sanding.
I have painted with spray paint a lot. I did a lot of pinewood derby cars and in the picture is a model rocket body.
Here are the headers for my 1973 F100. I painted them in high temp paint because the original coating would have just burned off.
This is the side skirt off of a Ford Focus SVT. It had rock chips and was beat up so I repainted it with color match paint.
On my 1973 F100 the paint was very faded so I learned how to buff and polish on it. It turned out very good after some trial and error.
This isnt exactly paint but I did do the stain on these redwood picnic tables for my Eagle Scout project.
Here is my 1969 F100 when I got it. It had been sitting outside for a long time.
This is after I did a quick comet wash. I used comet bleach and a sponge. This made quick work of the baked on dirt and grim.
